Holly Springs officials celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, Sept. 3rd to mark the start of construction work on a new Town Center development near the intersection of Hickory Road and Holly Springs Parkway. The project will further energize Downtown Holly Springs with a walkable, Main Street destination that combines civic and community spaces with retail, restaurant and residential offerings, according to a press release.

Holly Springs Mayor Steven W. Miller was joined by city officials and representatives from the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce as well as development and construction partners to mark the occasion.

The development will include a new City Hall, a Market Plaza and a Grand Lawn for festivals, markets and community events. Officials say there will be enough parking including a dedicated parking deck. In addition, there will be new residential options.
