Q: I have been trying to find Oral-B 60 indicator toothbrushes. It seems the maker may have stopped production of these, however, most of the newer toothbrushes are smaller in size and don’t leave a clean feeling as the fuller size brushes. Please help if you can. — Larry Underkoffler, email

A: Larry, I believe that when you find an item you really like, then you should buy as many as you can afford, while they’re easily available. That’s how I came to have a stockpile of Revlon 24K Orange lipsticks. I spoke to someone at Crest, and the toothbrush you want isn’t available, but I got a recommendation for another full head (60) toothbrush that might be the perfect fit. The Oral-B Pro-Health CrossAction is a full head toothbrush, but the new models won’t have the size — 60 — on the packaging. I checked the item numbers and they’re the same as the older models that listed the size you wanted. You’ll find the Oral-B Pro-Health CrossAction (60) for $3.99 in the Harmon drugstore section of Bed Bath and Beyond, 6050 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, 770-475-3036. If you like it, grab several.

Q: I am trying to find cedar oil. Many thanks for you help. — Jack Brady, Marietta

A: Used to refresh cedar-lined closets or chests that have lost some of their protective qualities, this oil comes from Eastern red cedar trees. You can find Giles & Kendall cedar oil in an 8-ounce can for $18.95, on aisle three at Home Depot, 1200 E.W. Connector, Austell, 770-438-9678.

Q: As kids, my brothers and I loved a candy called Danish Ribbons. They were red licorice strips. Unfortunately, they are no longer made, but someone at work told me that there is a candy that’s nearly identical, but he couldn’t remember the name. I would love to be able to order some if it isn’t available in the Atlanta area. Thank you. — W. Hanson, email

A: Danish Ribbons and Delpha Rolls were strawberry-flavored licorice candy shaped into rolls. While they’re long gone, fans swear that Broadway strawberry rolls, individually wrapped soft licorice rolls, are nearly identical. You can order them online through www.blaircandy.com. A box of 24 rolls costs $21.95.

Q: Can you tell me where to find Vitalis hair tonic or a phone number where I can order? — Ed Furie, Atlanta

A: Once pitched by Arthur Godfrey, Bart Starr and Frank Gifford, the venerable Vitalis hair tonic was the brand that didn’t leave any “greasy kid stuff” on the comb. The promise was a slam to cream hair dressings, especially Brylcreem, which touted, “A little dab’ll do ya.” You can find Vitalis hair tonic at Walgreens, 4535 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, 404-236-0838. A 7-ounce bottle costs $8.99.
