When a Utah man grieving the death of his wife during childbirth found a treasure trove of his wife’s music recordings, he turned to the internet for help.

Jared Buhanan-Decker was having trouble extracting the files to a format he could use, so he posted his unusual request on Reddit. Strangers immediately began working on his request and were successful in bringing his late wife's voice back to Buhanan-Decker and his newborn son.

Sharry Buhanan-Decker, 29, died during childbirth from amniotic fluid embolism, according to KUTV. The couple's baby boy, J.J., was successfully delivered via cesearean section.

Thanks to the kindness of strangers on the internet, J.J. can listen to his mother singing while he is rocked to sleep.
