Hole Discovered On International Space Station Believed To Have Been Drilled From Inside

SpaceX simulator lets you try to dock at International Space Station

You can virtually tour museums and parks, go to a virtual happy hour and even graduate from college without leaving your home during the coronavirus pandemic. While those experiences are great distractions and even milestone events, there is a truly out of this world simulation to help you pass the time.

SpaceX has released an International Space Station docking simulator that Thrillist calls “a bit too realistic, in that people who've played video games for 15 years will likely be humbled by how hard it is to be an astronaut.”

» Company will pay you $1,000 to host virtual brunches

Whether you want to live out a childhood dream or your kid aspires to be an astronaut, the simulator will task you with docking the Crew Dragon spacecraft at the ISS. The technology is based on the same interface used to train astronauts. You’ll need to know what yaw, pitch and roll mean, because these movements are measured precisely in the simulation.

You’ll want to read the instructions before beginning the simulation. After all, you don’t want to crash into the International Space Station, even if it’s only pretend.

» Museums you can ‘visit’ virtually when stuck at home
