Q: About three years ago, I bought a set of two outdoor solar patio lamp post lights. They were at least five feet tall, and I placed them at the edge of my patio. Well, last year’s ice storm took one out. I bought them at Lowe’s in Cumming. I went back there, this year and last, to buy another set, and they looked at me like I was crazy. I want another set. Can you help me find where I can purchase these solar lights? I appreciate your help with this matter. Thank you. — Linda Vanlieu, Dawsonville
A: I found some black resin outdoor solar lamp posts that sound similar to yours at www.homedepot.com. While they’re only available online, you can have them delivered to a Home Depot store near you or at your home free of any shipping charges. Gama Sonci Bayton II solar light, $129.99, stands 78 inches from the tip of the finial to the base. When placing the order, ask for model number GS-105S-G and Internet number 205699138. At www.target.com, you’ll find a similar solar light that comes with a planter at the base. This one is a little shorter at 69 inches tall. It’s priced at $89.99, and the online item number is 13130476. Note that this light also only is available online.
Q: I am looking for Maxim original coffee in the single packs or jar. I can’t seem to find it. — M.B., Marietta
A: Maxim original Korean coffee in individual packets is a combination of sugar, corn syrup, instant coffee and coconut oil. I found Maxim at Super H Mart, 2550 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, 678-543-4000. A bag of 100 packets sells for $13.99.
Q: What a wonderful service you provide. Yours is the first article I look for in the Sunday paper. I am looking for a long, narrow brush; something that can clean out the crevices between the knobs on the faucets — especially in bathrooms. Nothing that I try does the job thoroughly. Thanking you in anticipation. — Alice Harris, Stockbridge
A: Thank you for reading, Alice. I think I found the ideal brushes to attack those elusive tight spaces around your bathroom fixtures. Check out OXO Good Grips Deep Clean brush set, $5.99. These brushes are designed specifically for hard-to-reach spaces in kitchens and bathrooms. They feature soft handles so that you won’t hurt your hands if you need to really start scrubbing. The brush heads are slightly bent, and one of the brushes features a pointed tip for extra skinny spots. The set is priced at $5.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond, 1898 Jonesboro Road, McDonough, 678-583-2165. You’ll find the brushes in the cleaning aisle with the brooms and mops.

There are always a handful of items that readers hope to find that, unfortunately, are no longer available because they’ve been discontinued by the manufacturer, and Amazon and eBay have absolutely run out as well. Here are three items requested by readers that are no longer made. But, I’ve learned to never say never because, in the past, some products have been brought back by popular demand, and not always from the original maker.
For now, though, say goodbye to:
Progresso Artisan Soup Artisan Homestyle Garden Tomato.
Oil-O-Sol was an old-time antiseptic solution for cuts, scrapes, rashes and other external ailments. As its name implies, it was made from oils, including corn, castor and camphor. It hasn’t been available for decades.
Many readers have been seeking Perkerson’s cornmeal. Unfortunately, this item is no longer available.
