POW

Penelope, a 2-month-old spayed puppy believed to be a Catahoula leopard dog mix, is a gorgeous girl who needs a home with an active family. We don’t know how large this pretty girl will be when grown, but we do know that she’ll need lots of exercise, structure and obedience training to be her best. Early training will help the whole family! Children in the home can help with daily care, but should not be expected to take full care of any pet without adult supervision. Please bring all children (and any existing dogs) to meet this affectionate, noisy puppy. This breed does not do well when left in yards by themselves, though a yard will be a plus for exercising her, especially after she is grown. All dogs need structure and leadership, and Penelope is no exception. Please research the breed before coming to meet Penelope. Catahoulas are active, intelligent dogs and are not “couch potatoes.” They need jobs to do and are best for houses, not apartments or condos. Penelope will need further puppy vaccinations and a rabies shot. She has been microchipped and dewormed. She will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road NW. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications. Look at all our available pets at www.atlantahumane.org.
