Two years ago, Safyre Terry's father, sister and two brothers died in a fire caused by arson at their Schenectady home, according to Rare.

Buzzfeed News reported that Safyre, now 8, suffered burns on over 75 percent of her body.

Safyre's paternal aunt, Liz Dolder, who now has sole custody of Safyre, told BuzzFeed News the extent of her injuries.

"Safyre has had multiple operations, over 50. She had lost her right hand three months after the fire and lost her left foot in March," Dolder told Buzzfeed News. "She continues to have problems with her mouth due to the scar tissue tightening up. Her next operation is on Jan. 5."

Dolder told Buzzfeed News that Safyre wants to fill a Christmas tree with cards for the holiday, but her aunt worried they wouldn't receive enough cards. So Dolder took to Facebook asking for cards.

From the looks of the Safyre Schenectady's Super Survivor Facebook page, social media users haven't let her down.
