SUCCESS STORY / Jeanerys De Santiago, 28: From 156 pounds to 126 pounds

Former weight: 156 pounds

Current weight: 126 pounds

Pounds lost: 30 pounds

Height: 5 feet 2 inches

Age: 28 years

How long she's kept it off: She started in November 2017, reached her goal in April 2018 and has maintained it within 5 to 7 pounds since.

Personal life: "I've been a flight attendant for four years now and plan to continue growing within the aviation industry. I conveniently live in Fayetteville," De Santiago said. "… I currently live with my boyfriend, Parker, and our cat, Mia Sophia." She is on Instagram @thetravelteaspoon.

Turning point: "Ever since I started my career as a flight attendant, I noticed my struggle to find consistency with my healthy lifestyle," De Santiago said. "I didn't know where to start as far as eating healthy on the go and often ended up having fast food or room service late at night because I didn't pack my own food." It was difficult with inconsistent hotel refrigeration. "Instead of learning from my mistakes, I would go back to not having my own food and eating airplane food," she said. "My weight continued to increase until I hit my highest weight and I knew I needed a lifestyle change. One day, I ran into my good friend and co-worker and I noticed she had lost a lot of weight and looked great. She told me about WW, the new Weight Watchers, and from that moment on, my life completely changed."

Diet plan: Breakfast is hard-boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, a banana, almond milk and stevia. Lunch is salad with grilled chicken. And for dinner, "one of my favorite (recipes) is from skinnytaste.com and that's her chicken tikka masala," De Santiago said.

Exercise routine: "My exercise routine varies depending on my work schedule. My goal is to have four workouts a week, however in the past couple of months, I have increased my training to six times a week," De Santiago said. "I used to treat exercise as a punishment for overeating, but now it's my therapy."

Biggest challenge: "My biggest challenge during my weight-loss period was learning how to pack my food for three-day trips. I have tried numerous methods and have failed many times, but I finally got the hang of things," De Santiago said. "… (People) constantly tell me that they don't have time to cook or work out, but the reality is that you have to make the time to take care of yourself."

How life has changed: "Life is still great because I'm still the same person. I do feel happier, full of energy and confident," she said. "My boyfriend was so supportive through this journey. … Going through this journey was one of the most difficult things I've done, and as a result, I feel unstoppable. I know that I can accomplish anything I put my heart and soul into."
