History: For nearly a quarter of a century, thousands of children in foster care have felt the warmth of a new coat, socks, and shoes or felt excited to receive a bike, bag of toys, or new school supplies. Throughout the years, the Foster Care Support Foundation has given children, from infancy to 18 years old, a reason to smile and feel special.

Did you know: When children are placed into foster care, they may have nothing more than the clothes on their back. Foster Care Support Foundation fills the gap for 4,500 children annually through support from individuals and corporate sponsors. A 20,000-square-foot warehouse in Roswell offers foster families and custodial grandparents a place to shop for the free items their children may need most.

Its motto: To help abused and neglected children experience a kind and nurturing daily life while displaced in foster and relative care.

How you can help: Join the 10,000-plus volunteer force behind the Foster Care Support Foundation's success. Sponsor a child with a $25 or more monthly donation to provide new clothing and other necessities. Corporate sponsors can contribute money that will be used to construct a 15,000-square-foot addition to the warehouse.
