Whether you’re single, dating or married, you shouldn’t spend Valentine’s Day without a cocktail in hand. To that end, here are two boozy drinks to enjoy with your sweetie — one that takes time to make. But the effort is worth it if it contributes to a romantic night, right?

Amour de Amatitán

1 1/2 oz. Blue Nectar Silver

3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

3/4 oz. crème de cacao

2 dashes orange bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe. Garnish with an lime peel.

Everything Nice

2 oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka rose petal infusion (see below)

1 oz. fresh lemon juice

3/4 oz. ginger simple syrup (see below)

Top with a splash of brut sparkling wine

Double strain fresh lemon juice to get rid of all the bitter pulp.

Add the rose petal-vodka infusion, the fresh lemon juice and the ginger simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well, and strain into a coupe glass.

Top with a splash of brut sparkling wine. Garnish with a piece of candied ginger or a lemon twist.

Vodka and Rose Petal Infusion

1 cup red rose petals

1 liter Tito’s Handmade Vodka

Thoroughly wash the rose petals in water. Add to the Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Allow to sit in a cool place, away from direct sunlight for 5 to 7 days, giving it a good shake every day or so.

Strain the rose petals out of the bottle after 5 to 7 days, or when the mixture has reached the desired taste (and color).

Ginger Simple Syrup

1/2 cup ginger

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

Peel fresh ginger and slice into thin rounds to end up with 1/2 to 3/4 cup.

Add the sugar, water and fresh ginger slices to a pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and gently simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, strain into a jar and allow to cool completely.
