Age: 33 years

How long she's kept it off: "I have been losing for two and a half years," says Swafford, "still working on it -- I started in January of 2009."

Personal life: "I am a teacher at Eastvalley Elementary, where I went to elementary school, in Marietta, Georgia," she says. "I live in Kennesaw with my husband, Jason, and our Shih-tzu, Maggie." She writes about her weight loss at: www.itsuxtobefat.com.

Turning point: "My turning point was when I wanted to start a family. I knew that I was too fat to have a healthy pregnancy," she says. "I joined Weight Watchers with my dad and the difference this time was I was motivated in order to have an easier time getting pregnant and have a healthy baby. I did it for the future of my family, not an event or just because."

Diet plan: Breakfast is a meal replacement bar and coffee. Lunch is a turkey sandwich, Greek yogurt, fruit and carrots. "For dinner, I like to have Dream Dinners (www.dreamdinners.com) already made so all I have to do is cook," she says. "I also like the variety Dream Dinners gives us."

Exercise routine: "I try to exercise at least three times a week. I walk or jog on my NordicTrack I have in my house. When the weather is nicer, I will walk or jog outside."

Biggest challenge: "There have been so many times when I wanted to give up, not go to a meeting, not count points, etc. – I have to remind myself that I am worth it and keep going, keep counting, keep exercising."

How life has changed: "I have energy," she says. "I don't come home and sleep on the couch anymore. I get up early in the morning and can go strong all day long. I work two jobs [teaching and tutoring] so the extra energy has led to extra income for my family. I also love shopping in regular-size stores. It is so nice to be able to not have to shop in specialty stores."
