There’s an event this weekend for those of you who are still people of the page.

Cobb County’s semi-annual book sale will be held Friday through Sunday at Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Parking is free.

All profits from this sale will go directly to buying more items for the 16 libraries in the Cobb County Public Library System.

Acceptable forms of payment are cash and checks. On Friday until 1 p.m., electronic devices are not permitted and customers will only be able to buy up to two boxes of items at a time. Sunday is BYOB (Bring Your Own Box) Day. You can bring any size box you like and fill it to the top for only $20 for upper level books or $10 for lower level books (combination boxes are $20).
