In a little more than a month since its founding, the @BrosBeingBasic Instagram -- run by Atlantans -- has amassed more than 170,000 followers and been hailed as "your new favorite Instagram" and "our new favorite Instagram" and  "the funniest thing on Instagram."

Ashley Hesseltine, one of the account's founders alongisde Travis May, told Us Weekly the idea sparked simply: What if guys acted like girls on Instagram?

What the account does is post stereotypically feminine photos -- shoe-shopping; posing on the stairs with friends or in the middle of "work"; relaxing in the tub -- except with men.

One recent image, of three guys holding hands on a beach, includes these hashtags: #TheThreeBestFriendsThatAnyoneCouldHave #BeachBros #VacationVibes #HoldMyHand #HoldMyHeart #NoHomo #MaybeALittle.

@BrosBeingBasic, which also accepts submissions, began posting on Nov. 26 and has for its fans hilariously combined two of the year's buzzwords.

"If there's two concepts that have come into their own over the course of 2014, it's 'bros' and 'basic,'" wrote MTV's Caitlin White "...The resulting combinations of tropes that involve both bros and basic are just stunning. It's a gift."

Next for the brains behind @BrosBeing Basic, according to Hesseltine: Fashion Dads.
