ROSWELL

Puppet Show

The Roswell Cultural Arts Center hosts a variety of puppet shows this summer, and on June 16-17, it will welcome master puppeteer Paul Mesner. He will put his special spin on the classic tale of Old Mother Hubbard, who finds that her cupboard has at least one bone in it — a funny bone! Laugh along as hilarity takes over her cottage as she tries to look after her furry companion, who has a few antics in store for both his owner and the audience. Tickets are $5 per person, but children younger than 2 years old are free.

10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 16; 10 a.m. June 17. $5. Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell. 770-594-6232, roswellgov.com.

KENNESAW

USA vs. Georgia Rugby

Here in metro Atlanta, it’s not often that a team from Georgia isn’t considered the home team. But this weekend, some fans will be rooting for Georgia the country and not our fair state when the Georgia national rugby men’s team flies in from Tbilisi. They’ll lock up in the scrum with the men’s USA national at Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank stadium. The Georgia team is ranked 12th in the world, but USA isn’t far behind at number 17, and this will be the final exhibition match for the USA before the Rugby World Cup qualifiers begin.

7 p.m. June 17. $20 $70. Fifth Third Bank Stadium, 3200 George Busbee Parkway, Kennesaw. 470-578-4849, fifththirdbankstadium.com.
