The musical students at Pope High School are staging their final performance of the year, and it’s shaping up to be a showstopper. Every band the school sponsors will perform, including the concert, marching, percussion, jazz and ensemble units. In addition, the color guard will accompany the program with dance routines. And there’s more than music on tap: Food trucks, including Bento Bus, Toasted Cheese Truck and King of Pops, will be on-site two hours before the event.

ROSWELL
Colors Festival of Arts
The Roswell Junior Women’s Club holds its 25th annual Colors Festival of Arts in downtown Roswell. Attendees can soak up the beauty of the town’s spring flowers while browsing the arts and crafts for sale from a variety of Southeastern artisans. (There might even be a last-minute gift for mom, if you still need inspiration.) Storytelling, dance performances, instrumentalists and vocalists will be part of the entertainment. All proceeds from the event will go toward helping local projects and causes that the club sponsors.

GAINESVILLE
Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville
The Atlanta Botanical Garden has just opened a new location in Gainesville, a short drive north of the downtown district. The meticulously cultivated five acres of gardens are the perfect place to find a little peace and tranquility. Along with an array of flora for all seasons, the destination holds several surprises, such as the model train garden. The Ivester Amphitheater features musical acts all summer long.
