Founder and Choreographer, Glo

Born in Gainesville, Fla., Lauri Stallings previously performed with the Cleveland San José Ballet, Ballet British Columbia and Hubbard Dance Street Chicago. In 2005, she was named a Chicagoan of the Year for her choreographic debut. The following year she began a three-year choreographic residency with Atlanta Ballet before founding Glo.

Accomplishments: Launching Glo in 2009 during the height of the recession, and numerous accolades, including a Robert Rauschenberg Foundation SEED grant and the 2014 Artadia Award for her "impulses to work beyond art's recognizable sphere."

Upcoming: Two major productions, including "cloth," a collaboration with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conductor Robert Spano and filmmakers Micah and Whitney Stansell, debuting Sept. 10 at Goodson Yard, at the Goat Farm Arts Center. Also, "gestures that soon will disappear," a four-month collaboration with Paper-Cut-Project culminating in an installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia Sept. 26-Nov. 29.
