Just in time for the official start of summer, Oreo has rolled out its latest limited-edition flavored cookie —watermelon.

Photos of Watermelon Oreos are popping up on blogs, proving the odd-flavored cookies exist.

But how do they taste? Junk food web site junkfoodguy.com was one of the first to offer up a review: "As soon as I bit into one of these Limited Edition Watermelon Golden Oreos, I got an immediate light watermelon taste.  I'll just say it right off the bat….I liked these.  A LOT."

Oreo made headlines in October of 2012 when it introduced the world to candy corn flavored Oreos. Reviews were mixed.

The watermelon Oreos deliver 150 calories, 21g of carbs, 12g of sugar and 3g of Monosaturated fat for two cookies.

The junkfood guy blog added: "These DIDN’T overwhelm me with artificial (well, overly artificial) watermelon flavor. Instead the immediate taste I got was a watermelon taste that tasted like, frankly, it had been blended with creme."

Time will tell if watermelon will leave a longing in our hearts when it disappears from store shelves later this summer.
