A California woman's photos of her toddler son, napping with the family's new puppy have gone viral.
Jessica Shyba has three children, but it's her 23-month old, Beau, who is in the national spotlight, along with mixed-breed puppy named Theo.
“I'm completely flabbergasted,” said Shyba. “It's beyond anything I've ever dreamed.”
Millions of people have seen the photos of Beau and Theo taking their afternoon nap together, after Shyba posted them on her blog, http://www.mommasgonecity.com/
The Shybas brought Theo home after they adopted from the Santa Cruz SPCA earlier this month. Shyba said Theo would whine, and she found putting him with Beau comforted them both.
Pictures of their naps have been seen on national television, and Shyba says it's because what she's presenting is so “opposite” of what people are used to seeing on the news.
“I think there's so much bad news in the world, all the time, that's all we see,” said Shyba.
Shyba says she was so taken by the peacefulness, and natural relationship between Beau and the puppy he calls “Bee-Bo,” she had to share it.
“It's sweet and it's innocent and it's lovely and that's why people appreciate it,” said Shyba. “That's why I appreciate it!”
