Fulton County Schools will hold another “quick-track” hiring event in an effort to recruit more bus drivers.

Georgia’s fourth-largest school district will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Transportation Center, 107 Heath St. in Fairburn.

Fulton held a similar event earlier this month on the district’s northern end.

The district wants to hire more bus drivers, whose starting wage is $20.40 an hour, and transportation assistants. Many school systems across the nation have reported staffing issues this year, including in transportation and food service departments.

Those who wish to attend the Fulton event should bring their driver’s license or state identification card, which will be used to complete a background check.

Job-seekers can register online in advance.
