Walmart will be hiring 200 people to staff a new Covington store.

Monday, the company will open a temporary hiring center at Prospect United Methodist Church at 6752 Highway 212 in Covington. It will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When the store there opens in 2012, it will be at 4200 Salem Road in Covington.
