There’s more to a job than friendly co-workers, perks and a steady paycheck. It’s also important to consider which roles will give you a chance to grow and advance in your career.

To determine which jobs might offer the brightest futures, analysts over at Glassdoor read through millions of employee reviews. They came up with a list of the top 25 roles employees said fostered strong career opportunities, paid well above the national median base salary (June 2019: $53,411) and remained in demand in the current labor market, meaning there are at least 2,000 open positions available.
For a job title to be considered, Glassdoor notes it must receive at least 75 salary reports and at least 75 job career opportunity ratings shared by U.S.-based employees between July 2018 through the end of June 2019.

Of all the careers out there, tax managers ranked No. 1 for best career opportunities in the U.S.
According to the analysis, tax managers have a median base salary of $112,021. There are currently more than 4,000 tax manager openings on the site, and employees report working in this role has offered continued progress, giving it a rating of 4.1 out of 5.
Salesforce developers and product designers rounded out the top three.
"Almost half of these roles are tech roles, with product designer, data scientist, java developerand mobile developer all having career opportunities ratings of at least 3.8," according to Glassdoor. "Nursing manager boasts the highest number of open jobs of any role on this list with almost 15,000 open roles in the U.S. as of July 5, 2019."
