DeKalb Workforce Development provides a mobile career and resource center or Jobs Bus that travels among the DeKalb Library branches each month.

The Jobs Bus includes 13 computer stations and high-speed satellite Internet connection, providing DeKalb residents, ages 18 and above, with free job search assistance, resume writing and interviewing tips.

This bus offers a private interview area as well as the option of dividing the classroom area into two separate rooms.

The instructor's workstation is connected to the 42-inch Plasma TV with Smart Board, adding Interactive Whiteboard capabilities for presentations and training.

Printer, scanner and copy services are available on the Jobs Bus.

DVD and VCR units are attached to the large-screen Plasma TV and to the smaller TV within the private interview area.

A fully accessible American Disabilities Act workstation, with movable table and auxiliary equipment, is available next to the wheelchair lift.

Business officials may use the Jobs Bus for recruiting, pre-employment screening, interviewing and training.

Individuals may be served through online job search, resume and cover letter development, online tutorials, individual assessments and exploration of training eligibility and options.
