Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. is jumping on the low-calorie bandwagon with a new menu for health-conscious customers.

The restaurant’s Wholesome Fixin’s menu will feature breakfast items under 500 calories and lunch and dinner offerings that are below 600 calories, according to Food Business News.

FBN, citing comments by Cracker Barrel CEO Sandra Cochran, said the new menus are expected to appear this summer.

The new menu reportedly will include grilled catfish, a baked chicken breast and a breakfast sandwich on whole wheat bread.

Cracker Barrel, which has multiple locations in Georgia and many near interstate exits, is following other chains that offer lower fat and lower calorie items, from sandwiches and salads to desserts and smoothies. Denny’s, for example, features a veggie burger with balsamic vinaigrette and fresh veggies on its Fit Fare menu.

You’ll still be able to get biscuits and gravy with bacon or sausage for breakfast at Cracker Barrel, or hickory smoked pork barbecue with two country vegetables and made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins for dinner.
