The Stacey Dash vs. BET, Black History Month, NAACP, et al. battle continues.

Since her name is still trending everywhere, you probably have a good idea of what's going on, but here is a refresher.

Dash, who at one point spent lots of time filming shows in Atlanta, appeared on Fox News earlier this week (she's contributor) and was asked to react to the calls for an Oscar boycott.

Several African-American celebrities including Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith have said they will not attend or support this year's awards ceremony due to the lack of nominations for blacks in the industry .

Dash said on Fox & Friends that the whole situation is "ludicrous" and stated that we need to decide on segregation or integration and if we don’t want to be segregated then we should get rid of things like Black Entertainment Television or Black History Month (unless there is also a White History Month.)

That's when the Dash bashing started.

The ladies on the View had nothing nice to say about Dash's comment .  And Dash's own cousin, hip-hop entrepreneur Damon Dash said in an online interview that while she has a right to her opinion, her "annoying" comments are basically "cooning" for Fox.

Cooning is not a reference to racoon hunting. In urban parlance it refers to a person of African decent who intends to entertain white people. Dash has said in past interviews that she is estranged from her family because of her political views.

BET went after Dash on Instagram since they were targeted in her comments and reminded her that she appeared on the BET television show, "The Game," which shot in Atlanta.

So, Dash posted a response on her blog titled " How BET lies to Black People. "

You can read the full post here but the highlights are Dash stating that no one ever heard of the show BET is referencing because it is on BET. She then challenges readers to name any show on BET and suggests comments from BET executive Stephen Hill about the Oscar awards and who they represent are, well, clueless.

Here's how she sums it up:

"BET lies to American black people by telling them that the rest of America is racist, so stick close to your own kind. Anything that promotes segregation is bad!

And they're absolutely mortified that someone like me — an independent-thinking black woman — dares call their bluff."

Will this ever end? Dash has a book coming out in June and you know what they say about publicity, even when it's bad, it's good.
