Hillary Clinton and her Democratic cohort will be celebrating or commiserating tonight at the Javits Center in New York City.
Republican Donald Trump will be about a mile away at the New York Hilton Midtown.
Trump's location was chosen in part for its vast ballrooms.
Clinton's choice was more symbolic: the Javits Center is believed to have the largest glass ceiling in New York.
Should Clinton prevail tonight, the Democrat would become the country's first female president and thus break the final metaphoric glass ceiling in American politics.
There might also be another reason. More from CBS News:
Her choice of the Javits Center is not without irony, since Donald Trump wrote in his book The Art of the Deal that he lobbied New York to name the building after his family, according to Mother Jones. The city wound up choosing a different developer and Trump wrote that "the result was perhaps the most horrendous construction delays and cost overruns in the history of the building business."
