The new rankings were released yesterday, and the top teams are Lambert's boys and Milton's girls in 6A-7A and Westminster's boys and Westminster's girls in A-5A. According to the LaxPower.com RPI rankings, Lambert's boys and Blessed Trinity's girls are the top overall teams.

Teams are on the road for spring break, which means high profile, out-of-state event competition in some cases, or simply midseason rest for others.

Here are some programs to keep an eye on:

Blessed Trinity Lady Titans (11-3)

Upcoming matches: No. 5 St. Pius X (9-2) on April 18.

Notes: The Lady Titans, competing in A-5A, are on break, but to this point they've posted quality wins over Ponte Verda-Florida (10-4), No. 8 Kell, No. 7 Wesleyan, 6A-7A's No. 4 Mill Creek and No. 5 Walton, Pinecrest Academy (10-3). They also played competitively against 6A-7A's No. 3 Lassiter. Most significantly, on March 30 they demolished top-ranked Westminster, 21-8. Yet they're only ranked No. 3 and two spots behind Westminster, which highly questionable. They'll pick up play against another challenging opponents in St. Pius X, then 6A-7A's No. 8 Northview on April 21 and 6A-7A's No. 7 Johns Creek on April 25.

Lovett Lions (10-1)

Upcoming matches: at No. 1 Westminster on Friday; Darlington (3-8) on Saturday; at 6A-7A's No. 5 Lassiter on Tuesday.

Notes: The Lions, ranked No. 2 in A-5A have just one blemish on their record: a 13-7 loss at Lake Highland Prep-Florida, which is No. 10 in LaxPower's RPI. They've beaten No. 3 Marist, No. 9 Wesleyan, Maclay-Florida (No. 9 RPI) Lake Mary-Florida (No. 15) and four other teams with winning records. They will look to avenge last season's loss to Westminster, a competitive match in which they came up short, 9-7. Lassiter, which they'll play early next week, beat them 12-4 in 2016.

Pope Greyhounds (10-3)

Upcoming matches: at McCallie School-Tennessee (4-2) on Saturday; Etowah (5-7) on Tuesday.

Notes: The Greyhounds, ranked No. 6 in 6A-7A, has wins over No. 7 Milton and A-5A's top-ranked Westminster, No. 4 Buford and No. 5 GAC, while playing competitively against No. 4 Johns Creek (they lost 11-9) and No. 3 Centennial, which clipped them 11-10 in overtime. They'll be in Chattanooga on Saturday to play a McCallie School that's holds a No. 9 RPI ranking in Tennessee and beat them 10-7 last season. After a winnable Etowah match, they close the regular season with No. 5 Lassiter and No. 8 Cambridge.
