GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

John Ford, Roswell

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "It's a tie between the 1996 AAAA state quarterfinals and AAAA state championship. I had a nice sideline view to see us [Brookwood] beat Parkview to go to the Georgia Dome, and then to win a state title in a place like Bazemore-Hyder Stadium was incredible." [Ford was a reserve player on Brookwood's 1996 championship team.]

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "Phillip Jones (Brookwood), Terrance Banks (Newton), Shannon Jarvis (Mill Creek) and the guys in my region humble me with the caliber of men they are. My son could play for them any day and I'd be OK with that, much more so than myself!"

3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto? "Pet peeve is entitlement. Nothing disturbs me more than people feeling they deserve something they did not earn. As for my favorite quote, it would be 'The Man in the Arena' by Teddy Roosevelt."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "There are people smarter than me who get to think about those things. I try to stay in my lane and control the controllables.''
