GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Chad Davenport, Northview

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach?"The 2008 semifinal between Peachtree Ridge and Grayson. So many great players on the field. It was freezing cold, and neither team deserved to lose. We were fortunate to capitalize on some mistakes and score in overtime to win and move to the state championship." [Peachtree Ridge beat Grayson 13-10 and then lost to Camden County 21-14 in the Class AAAAA championship game the following weekend.]

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why?"Blair Armstrong. He took a chance and hired me to a great school and was a man of faith, dignity and honor. He really cares about the kids and coaches, and it was an honor to work with him." [Armstrong was the head coach on Peachtree Ridge's 2006 state championship team He is now head coach at Hamilton County in Florida.]

3. What is your favorite saying/motto? "'Winners find a way, losers make excuses.' My high school coach [at East Wake High in North Carolina] preached that, and that is how we played. I try to emphasize that to my kids all the time. Just play and don't look for the easy way out."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "The GHSA has to do something about the transfer rule. It has to be changed. There should be a mileage limit placed around it. It is embarrassing what happened this offseason and continues to happen. When kids go on Twitter and taunt the GHSA and say there is nothing they can do, it hurts our game. Every coach has gotten them, but in-county transfers should be forced to sit a year no matter what. We have to implement something with teeth that prevents what has happened over the last few seasons."
