GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Derek Cook, Kell

*1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "I was the offensive coordinator at South Cobb in 2004 for the 70-68 seven-overtime game against Collins Hill in the first round of the playoffs. I believe it is still the highest combined scoring game in Georgia history. We were a No. 4 seed, and their defense had only given up 69 points all season! It was 28-28 at the end of regulation, and both teams battled back and forth during the OTs.  It was an amazing game to watch, even more to be a part of as a play-caller."

*2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "I have a son who is currently in the fifth grade, and he plays in our feeder program. He will likely play for me, and at times I am fearful of that scenario, but if I could have him play for anyone it would probably be [retired Harrison coach] Bruce Cobleigh. He has tremendous football knowledge and is a great person. He is always willing to share that knowledge with other coaches. He is 'low-key intense' as well. You really don't know how intense he is about it until you get to know him."

*3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto? "My pet peeve is when players miss workouts/practice for reasons that are insignificant. My favorite saying is 'It will feel better when it stops hurting.'"

*4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I would like to see the GHSA allow for a spring scrimmage with another team. This would generate some excitement and some revenue for schools at the end of the year and give you some valuable insight into what you need to work on over the summer with your team."
