GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Jeff Carlberg, Centennial

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career?"My father John Carlberg was the most influential person in my career. He taught me toughness and the ability to stick with things through good times and bad."

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced?"Cameron Erving, Colquitt County 2009, quarterfinals vs. Lassiter. He was a one-man wrecking crew on their D-Line. We couldn't do anything with him." [Note: Erving is an offensive lineman in college and was first-team all-ACC on Florida State's national championship team last season.]

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach?"The 2011 Brookwood team was the best team I have ever coached against (first round of playoffs vs. Alpharetta). They were very well coached, solid at every position and went on to win the state title."

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change?"The transfer rule. It is too easy for kids to move from school to school and hurts the continuity of schools, programs and communities."
