The top 10 remains relatively unchanged, with the exception of some tweaks to the bottom three teams, which now includes the Brooks County Trojans debuting at No. 10 after Model fell out of the rankings.
The Trojans have come along way since the season began, when they started 0-2 and were outscored 75-27 by Ware County and Clinch County. Since then they've reeled off four consecutive wins including shutouts over Florida's Madison County and Pelham. They've outscored their opponents 137-34 during their current win streak and in doing so have caught the attention of the pollsters.
Brooks County is coming off a 10-4 season in which it reached the AA semifinals for the second year in a row. The Trojans haven't had a losing season since 2007, the year before current coach Maurice Freeman took over. Freeman is 74-23 at Brooks County.
The rest of the top 10 remains in tact for the most part. Nos. 1-7 are identical to last week, led by Benedictine and followed by Fitzgerald, GAC, Wesleyan, Rabun County, Darlington and Pace Academy.
Jefferson County moves up a spot to No. 8, the position previously held by Model. Union County moves up a spot from No. 10.
