Someone abandoned a dog they'd owned for 12 years because she became "inconvenient" - at 61 pounds, it's hard for her to get up and down steps. She's up for adoption at the Cobb County animal shelter.

The Cobb County Animal Shelter is located at 1060 Al Bishop Drive in  Marietta. (Right off County Services Parkway). The number is  770-499-4136.

Shelter hours for adoptions are  Tuesday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and  Sundays 2 to 5 p.m.
