Justin Bieber aims to be a great husband and dad some day and hopes to learn from past mistakes although he won't be ashamed. He's let insecurities get him down in the past and bitterness, jealousy and fear have run his life at times.

All that and more explains why he scrapped several tour dates, he said in a long message posted to fans via his social media accounts.

"I'm VERY aware I'm never gonna be perfect, and I'm gonna keep making mistakes but what I'm not gonna do is let my past dictate my future," he wrote. "What I'm not gonna do is be ashamed of my mistakes. I wanna be a man that learns from them and grows from them!!"

He thanked his fans for their support and said he wants his career, heart mind and soul to be "sustainable." One day, he said, he wants to be husband and father with that sort of grounding. See his full message below.

Bieber's recent decision to end his "Promise" tour early is not the first time he's exhibited fatigue. Last year, just before two concerts in Atlanta, he posed a message on social media saying he is done meeting and greeting with fans.
