Michael Phelps and other members of the U.S. Swim Team trained in Atlanta prior to the Rio Olympics.
Before heading south to break ancient Olympian Leonidas of Rhodes’ 2,000-year-old record to become the most decorated Olympian ever, Phelps and his family spent some quality time with other underwater creatures at the Georgia Aquarium.
As the AJC's Shelia Poole reported previously, Phelps got his look together with Raeford Cox' help at the Vintage The Barber Shop in downtown Atlanta .
“He was a very polite and mild-mannered gentleman,” said Cox, whose brother Travis, is also a barber in the metro area. “He took time out to talk to everyone who asked a question. He was very nice.”
The team was here on a mission but made time for a fun selfie before hitting the road
