Complaints are pouring in a school district ordered Scriptural passages axed from a stage production of the classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

"Public school staff may not endorse any religion when acting in their official capacities and during school activities,"  Johnson County (Ky.) Schools Superintendent Thomas Salyer told the Lexington Herald-Leader. 

That meant the passage where Linus recites Scripture had to go, spurring local protests and national attention.

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly called the decision "madness."
