In an Interview magazine conversation in October, Fisher also railed against one of the getups she wore back in the day.
"Fight for your outfit. Don't be a slave like I was," she told actress Daisy Ridley, her 'Force Awakens' co-star. "You keep fighting against that slave outfit."
There was nothing exotic about preparing for reprising her role as Princess Leia in the latest Star Wars movie, Fisher said.
"I did it the same way everybody has to – don't eat and exercise more!" she told Good Housekeeping. "There is no other way to do it. I have a harder time eating properly than I do exercising. It's easier for me to add an activity than to deny myself something. And when I do lose the weight, I don't like that it makes me feel good about myself. It's not who I am...We treat beauty like an accomplishment, and that is insane."
