New Bhojanic Market concept open on Emory campus

There's good news for those missing Bhojanic after the restaurant closed its Decatur location after 12 years . Bhojanic Market, an offshoot of the popular Indian spot (which still operates a full-service location in Buckhead and a food truck), is now open at Cox Hall on Emory's campus.

The Market offers Bhojanic favorites on a hot line including rice bowls and platters with chicken tikka masala and chole, samosas and fresh tandoori naan, prepared hot and cold take-away meals, spice blends, chutneys, and tiffin service.

Owner Archna Becker said while the Emory location will mostly cater to Emory students, employees and visitors to campus, as well as hospital and CDC employees, there are several planned Bhojanic Market locations that will reach a larger customer base. She is currently eyeing spaces in Midtown and the north suburbs.

Becker is also working on building out a large-scale Bhojanic catering facility at Piedmont Road and Cheshire Bridge. While there are no immediate plans for a second full-service restaurant, she said she isn't ruling it out in the future.

"If we find the right spot, we'd do another Bhojanic right away," Becker said. "We're not actively looking, but if the opportunity is good, we'll jump on it."
