Lunch special. Family-style party for 300 guest and favorite chefs. Lowcountry boil. There’s lots of food and fun happening around town beginning today thru Sunday. Add one or all three of the following events to your calendar and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Inn at Serenbe: The seventh annual Southern Chefs Potluck, a casual Sunday supper helmed by chefs including Todd Ginsberg of The General Muir, Todd Richards of Richard's Southern Fried, Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia and many others, will take place from 3-6 p.m. Sept. 11. The event will accommodate up to three hundred guests, dining family style. The main dishes will be provided by White Oaks Pastures and Jim N' Nicks Bar-B-Q; each chef will contribute a side dish and desserts. Individual tickets are $150 - $600; a VIP overnight package is $1,500. The event will benefit Wholesome Wave Georgia, an organization that helps educate and create accessibility avenues.

Lure: Grab a quick lunch without sacrificing service or taste with a special Catch & Release menu, featuring lighter fare options, including the smoked trout salad with pecan vinaigrette, baby kale, shallots and blueberries as well as shrimp and crab gumbo, made with andouille sausage and okra, and served with house Hawaiian rolls. Heartier lunch choices include the Lure patty melt, served with charred onions, sharp cheddar and smoked oyster butter, or the skate schnitzel with spinach and preserved lemon brown butter. All menu items are $12 and include soda, tea or coffee.

Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails : A special Farmyard Chowdown to honor the city's police officers and firemen will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sept. 11. Executive chef Derek Dollar and his and his kitchen team will serve a traditional Lowcountry boil with shrimp and corn, as well as lobster, crab legs, pickle-fried chicken, pulled pork, pastrami-rubbed ribs and more.  Chicken fingers, French fries and cotton candy will be featured in the children's area. The cost for the event is $40 per adult and $20 per child, which includes food, music and entertainment.
