Another fast casual pizza chain is making its Atlanta debut.

Blaze Pizza will open 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at at 2131 N. Decatur Road  in Decatur, in the former Evans Fine Food space . Golden Eagle and Muchacho, the restaurant and coffee concept from Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall owner Michael Lennox, has announced its culinary and leadership team ahead of its opening at 904 Memorial Drive in the former H. Harper Station space.

Muchacho, the smaller of the two spaces, will feature a "nod to 70’s-era Venice Beach," according to a press release. Counter service will offer breakfast and lunch tacos, toasts, grain bowls, poke and pastriesplus a drink list featuring a handful of canned beer and wine, cocktails and housemade agua frescas.

Golden Eagle is an homage to Lennox's grandparents, "with a buttoned-down, retro aesthetic that channels the diamond-in-the-rough watering holes, neighborhood corner taverns and hotel lobby bars they would frequent in their native Pittsburgh," according to the release. The spot will serve an extensive cocktail and "continental classics of yesteryear" including garlic knots, crab Rangoon, and charbroiled oysters, as well shareable vegetable plates and a few larger items such as ricotta gnocchi and a tavern steak.

Key members of the restaurants’ teams include culinary director Taria Camerino, who will oversee the menus of Golden Eagle, Muchacho, and Ladybird and previously served as the owner of Sugar Coated Radical and oversaw pastry at Ford Fry Restaurants and Resurgens Hospitality; chef de cuisine Jason Simpson, who served as chef de cuisine at St. Cecilia for the past three years; beverage director Eduardo Guzman, who previously served as beverage director at Ford Fry Restaurants, leading the bar programs at JCT Kitchen, The Optimist, Beetlecat and Marcel; general manager Nicholas Bown-Crawford, who previously served as director of operations at Le Fat, Ton Ton and One Rooster; and coffee director Sarah Harlan, who previously worked at Condesa Coffee and New York’s Everyman Espresso.
