Was it a mistake to cut Blalock and Baker?

FLOWERY BRANCH – Thinking aloud here.

Usually, that’s not a good thing, but hey, it happens.

Just re-read the Dimitroff transcript and was wondering if the Falcons should have kept left guard Justin Blalock and left tackle Sam Baker (moved him to right tackle) until they found out if new guys were quality replacements and possibly upgrades?

It seems like the Falcons did that with Todd McClure. Ran him off, gave his job to Konz and found out that he couldn’t play.

What happened to letting the veteran get beat out?

Ok, everybody can go back to work now.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
