The egos that we have can be fragile and easily bruised. This is especially true when it comes to our bedroom skills. No one wants to hear a bad review or get overly criticized. I think this is why many people don’t want to be honest with their partners. They would rather fake it and hope it gets better. Is that a mistake, though.
If you keep pretending that it’s all good, that can be counterintuitive. People have their reasons for doing the fake thing but it shouldn’t be the solution. The many guy friends I asked about fakers claim to know when they are getting the fake out. It doesn’t bother them so much because they don’t think it is a reflection on them directly.
