Labor Day has come and gone. Some people are legitimately worried that their summer romance was seasonal! A friend told me that she is expecting the guy she met Memorial Day weekend to stop calling her. Sadly this is mainly because last year she was someone’s summer fling.

It is entirely possible that her new romance is going to have staying power. Most of my relationships started in summer months. The fall and winter only brought us closer. Besides, I think you can tell if you are just a fling to someone. It shows in their efforts to see you and make you a part of their life.

Do you know when someone is just using you for kicks and giggles? Is it easy to tell when they are genuinely pursuing a romance versus a seasonal hook up?
