The blizzard may be hitting the northeast hard, but that did not stop Patrick Horton.
He decided to take advantage of the nearly 27 inches of snow that fell in Brooklyn and build an igloo, listing it on Airbnb.
Horton, 28, listed the "Boutique Winter Igloo for 2" for $200 a night on Sunday, according to ABC News.
Horton said he built the igloo in six hours with his roommates in his backyard.
"Beers were definitely involved in that idea," Horton told The Huffington Post. "But once we had it in our heads we knew that we were going to do it."
The listing did not last long. Airbnb sent Horton an email notice, saying, "We are happy to see that you guys are staying busy and having fun during Blizpocalypse. Unfortunately, your igloo, while very well constructed, has failed to meet our occupancy standards and has been removed from search results."
Horton and his roommates are not deterred. Building on the five people he says contacted him about the igloo, he said, "We are still planning on posting it on Craigslist possibly tonight."
And if not, they'll enjoy the igloo themselves. "We definitely plan to get some use out of it and enjoy it before the weather warms up," he said.
