In these week's tech segment with KUT's Texas Standard, we discussed the news that Hulu and YouTube both appear to be preparing live TV streaming services for 2017 more akin to traditional cable than the on-demand video they offer now.

That could mean sports, award shows and other events from traditional networks would be available without delay online; but what does that mean for cable companies (they are not exactly going to go away without a fight).
