Snapchat is helping you create even more memories with a new update allowing you to make custom stories for groups of friends.

The new feature gives users two options to choose from: non-geofenced and geofenced custom stories.

With the non-geofenced function, you can invite others to add snaps to a story. You can also invite people to just watch your uploads without contributing to them.

As for the geofenced choice, you can let any of your followers within a specified area join. Friends of friends can be given access, too. Just keep in mind that stories disappear if no one has contributed to them in the past 24 hours.

In a press release, Snapchat said the upgrade "is perfect for a trip, a birthday party, or a new baby story just for the family."

So, how do you use it?

Just press the “Create Story” icon at the top right of the screen. And see which groups you’ve been added to by pressing the “My Story” tab.
