More than 40,000 tickets have been sold for this summer’s MLS All-Star game featuring Juventus at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The game will be played Aug. 1.

Juventus is the most successful club in Italy. It recently won Serie A, Italy’s top division, for a record 34th time. It has 55 domestic trophies and won 11 international tournaments.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium can seat more than 80,000.

The tickets sold for the game reinforces Atlanta’s growing reputation as a soccer city. Atlanta United, which plays in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, led MLS in average attendance last season and set numerous single-game records.

The franchise broke its single-game record this season when 72,035 tickets were sold and distributed for the March 11 game against D.C. United. The previous single-game record it held was 71,874 against Toronto on Oct. 22, 2017. That mark broke the record of 70,425 the team set against Orlando City on Sept. 16.

The MLS All-Star game will feature several days of activities, including a fan festival and a game featuring some of the league’s up-and-coming talent.
