It's a gray and dreary Monday after a heartbreaking Falcons Super Bowl loss, and the Weather Channel isn't exactly helping.

» The most comforting tweets Atlanta Falcons fans need to get through the day

The Atlanta-based company sent out this painful app notification to its subscribers Monday morning, playing on today's weather of occasional rain showers.

Ouch.

» Was there a hidden political message in Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance?

But this was just one of the Weather Channel's Super Bowl jabs.

On Sunday, the Patriots were the target.

The "properly inflated" phrase referred to a January 2015 NFL investigation into the possibility that the Patriots played the AFC Championship against the Indianapolis Colts with partially deflated footballs.

According to a previous AJC story, the NFL concluded it was "more probable than not Tom Brady was at least generally aware" of the alleged scheme and that two Patriots employees were directly responsible.

And earlier, the Weather Channel's website dedicated its error page to the big game. Instead of the usual "Page Not Found" message, it read: "Oops! The page you are looking for went to Houston! Don't get deflated, Rise Up!"
