A Denver Broncos fan in Colorado has learned not to mess withPittsburgh Steelers fans, after his phone started ringing off the hook.
Brian Lusk knew real estate was hot in his area, but he wasn't planning to sell. Then his phone rang.
"She goes 'Is this a real thing? Is this house really for sale?' and I was clueless," Lusk said.
"I said, 'I think you must have the wrong number.' She says 'Well, I'm looking at an ad in the newspaper that says your house is for sale.'"
It turns out there was an ad in the paper, complete with a picture and description of his house. It was the rest of the ad that really opened Lusk's eyes. It read, "Getting divorced...Leaving her with nothing...Will sell home for two tickets to the Super Bowl."
That was the moment Lusk realized who was behind it.
"I have a buddy who's a good Pittsburgh Steelers fan and we had some bets going for the Steelers game," Lusk said. "Of course, the Broncos won. So I rode him pretty hard for two or three days and gave him a lot of heck."
Apparently, that buddy ran ads in several newspapers. Lusk was even offered two Super Bowl seats 20 rows from the field, along with first-class airfare and a hotel room.
Lusk has made it clear his house isn't really for sale and his marriage is just fine.
"Not getting divorced as far as I know," he said.
Now he has a message for his friend.
"Alright Brian, you're winning. But only for now. It's comin' baby, I've got all of Bronco nation thinking of the best way to get back at ya."
