Taylor Jenkins, who led the Austin Toros to the NBA D-League semifinals this past season, has resigned to become an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks. Jenkins led the Toros to a 27-23 record in his only season with the team.

Before becoming the Toros’ head coach, Jenkins had been an assistant coach with the team for four seasons. He became the third consecutive head coach to leave the Toros to join an NBA coaching staff.

Brad Jones, who led Austin to the D-League championship in 2012, left for a position with the Utah Jazz. Jones followed Quin Snyder, who left the Toros for a job with the Philadelphia 76ers.
