The Hawks bench has gone viral.
A Vine clip of the group celebrating Kyle Korver’s closing minute 3-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies in still circulating online days later. The Vine was posted by Soaring Down South writer K L Chouinard and made its way around social media. Al Horford, Mike Scott and Mike Muscala even posted the clip on Twitter.
The clip shows the group of Scott, Muscala, Kent Bazemore, Thabo Sefolosha, Dennis Schroder and Pero Antic starting to pose as Korver prepares to take the game-clinching shot. The group erupts when the shot falls.
“That was funny,” Sefolosha said Friday before the Hawks played at the Pistons. “Both Mikes did the most. … It was real funny. But that is the type of team we are. Everybody is rooting for each other and we are having fun. The time of the game, you’ve got Kyle and that’s what he does, it’s like a 3-point layup. Everybody was hoping it would go in. We knew it was going in. It was hype.”

Muscala is in the back of the celebration posing with the goggles hand gesture, which is now being dubbed ‘Moose Goggles’ by many on social media.
“I’ve done it a couple of times before but Kyle has never been that wide open before for a three so I actually had time to do it,” Muscala said.
The Hawks scored 10 straight points in the final two minutes of the victory. Horford hit a jumper to start the run and was followed by back-to-back 3-pointers from Jeff Teague and Korver.
Teague said the support of the bench has been invaluable this season. And yes, he’s seen the clip.
“The one with Kyle, we were watching it on Vine before (practice Thursday),” Teague said. “It was crazy. This group here, it’s a special group. No one cares about the accolades or who gets the glory. We just want to win ballgames.”
